What about SEA DC - Search Engine Academy Washington DC? Who's behind it?

Hi, I'm Nancy E. Wigal, the owner and operator of the Search Engine Academy Washington DC. I'm certified in basic, advanced and master SEO techniques and processes through the Search Engine Academy.

I discovered SEO in 2004, when I built my first website with SiteBuildIt! It was all about cat litter box and feline behavior issues. I really enjoyed the process of applying SEO techniques, step by step.

I had heard of Robin Nobles and her Search Engine Workshops way back when. For the longest time, I bookmarked two of Robin's pages called "cool tools for webmasters."

I finally decided to get serious about learning the most advanced SEO processes and techniques. So I went back to Robin's site and discovered her online basic and advanced SEO certification courses. I successfully completed both, but found myself wanting to know more.

I attended the five day SEO master certification course in Las Vegas, where I got to meet Robin Nobles and John Alexander. Not only did I learn a lot more about SEO in those five days, but at the end, I decided to establish and operate a Search Engine Academy right here at home in Washington DC.

People who have heard me talking about SEO can tell you I'm passionate about it. I love showing business owners how SEO can take a tired, lazy, no-performing, resource-sucking website and make it work hard and smart at what matters most - increasing sales and profits. Why else would you create and maintain a web site?

I retired from the U.S. Federal Government. For more than 29 years, I served first as a soldier in the U.S. Army, then as a civilian federal government employee.

When I'm not making people's eyeballs glaze over, telling people how much I love SEO, you can find me (weather permitting) on my little West Wight Potter sailboat "Baydream," on the Chesapeake Bay.

I keep her at Backyard Boats Marina in Shadyside, MD.
